Project Name: Supply of Reinforced Concrete Container and Metal Drum Manufacturing Plant for Armenian Radioactive Waste Management.

Project Description: Armenia is establishing independent production capacity for radioactive waste storage containers. This tender aims to conclude a supplier contract for equipment and related services for a waste storage container production facility for Armenian radioactive waste management.

Project Content: Divided into two lots: Lot 1: Design, manufacture and supply of a set of technical equipment and auxiliary tools for establishing a reinforced concrete container manufacturing plant; and provision of design documentation and a license for the royalty-free manufacture of certified reinforced concrete containers in Armenia. Tentative plant output: 15 reinforced concrete containers per week. For reinforced concrete container certification testing, the selected supplier shall manufacture three reinforced concrete containers in its own or a supplier-chosen facility, develop a reinforced concrete container certification test plan, and arrange certification tests in its own or a supplier-chosen facility in the presence of an acceptance committee. Lot 2: Design, manufacture and supply of a set of technical equipment and auxiliary tools for establishing a metal drum manufacturing plant. Tentative plant output: 165-liter drums: 3750 per year; 200-liter drums: 3750 per year.

Construction Scope: The Armenian counterpart is responsible for: 1) Construction of the buildings for installing the two manufacturing plants based on the design proposed by the selected supplier; 2) Installation and commissioning of the equipment under the supervision of the selected supplier.

Service Scope: Provision of design documentation, licenses, supervision of installation and commissioning.

Supply Scope: Technical equipment and auxiliary tools.

Technical Requirements:

Installation Requirements: The supplier will supervise the installation and commissioning of the equipment performed by the Armenian side.

Commissioning Requirements: The supplier will supervise the installation and commissioning of the equipment performed by the Armenian side.

Test Acceptance Criteria: For Lot 1, the winning supplier needs to manufacture three reinforced concrete containers, develop a certification test plan, and arrange certification tests in the presence of an acceptance committee.

Implementation Cycle: The contract is executed in Armenia.
