Huainan-Shanghai UHV AC Transmission Yangtze River Grand Crossing Project (Anhui Power Eastward Transmission)

The world's first UHV AC double-circuit transmission line on the same tower, and to date the highest crossing tower over the Yangtze River. The project spans 1,817 meters across the Yangtze River, consisting of 4 anchor towers and 2 crossing towers. The crossing towers are 277.5 meters tall, with each weighing 2,650 tons, and the crossing length exceeds 3,000 meters. The project was awarded the "National Excellent Welding Project" (2014 Special Prize) by the China Engineering Construction Welding Association.
