The product uses NOMEX® aromatic polyamide insulation paper produced by DuPont USA as the main material. This insulation material is UL certified and can withstand a maximum temperature of 220°C. With this insulation material, the dry-type transformer can reach H-class insulation. H-class open ventilated dry-type (OVDT) transformers are widely used in various fields such as power plants, airports, steel enterprises, etc., and are suitable for the design and manufacturing of special-type products. Product Features:
1.High Reliability
The product adopts a special VPI impregnation process and high-performance NOMEX® paper insulation. The product has excellent resistance to temperature and humidity (at 95% humidity, the dense NOMEX® insulation paper still maintains 90% of its dielectric strength when completely dry) and strong radiation resistance (it can maintain its original electrical and mechanical properties even under 800 megarads of ionizing radiation).
2.Strong Overload Capacity
Our company's products use NOMEX® paper as the main insulation material, providing a large thermal margin. NOMEX® paper is Class C insulation and can operate safely and stably at 220°C for a long time. The product is designed according to H-class insulation with a maximum operating temperature of 180°C, thus our products have a 40°C thermal margin. This ensures safe operation of the transformer under conditions of high ambient temperature, high harmonic content, and short-term severe overload beyond nameplate rating.
3.Good Environmental Performance and Low Noise
NOMEX® paper can withstand short-term operation at 350°C and will not soften, melt, or support combustion at 250°C. Even at 750°C, it does not release toxic or corrosive gases and does not become brittle at very low temperatures. Our company's products use imported high-quality oriented silicon steel sheets for the core and an optimized structural design, with noise levels controlled below 48dB, providing excellent environmental performance.
4.Good Electrical Performance and Low Partial Discharge
NOMEX® paper has a lower dielectric constant than epoxy resin and is closer to air, resulting in a more uniform electric field distribution between the NOMEX® paper insulation and the surrounding air medium, effectively reducing partial discharge and slowing insulation aging.
5.High Mechanical Strength
The high-voltage windings of H-class open-type transformers are supported by sturdy NOMEX® paper. The NOMEX® insulation paper treated with high temperature and high pressure has almost constant elongation and very high tear resistance, good wear resistance, and toughness. It can withstand large current sudden short-circuit faults. This structure avoids damage to the transformer due to local severe overheating caused by different thermal expansion coefficients of conductors and insulation materials, thus the transformer has excellent mechanical properties.
6.Convenient Temperature and Humidity Control
Temperature controllers and humidity controllers can be optionally installed according to user requirements to ensure normal operation of our dry-type transformer products in complex and harsh environments.
