The Class 1E SG(H)B10 series dry-type distribution transformer for nuclear power plants is responsible for receiving power from the 6kV switchgear and supplying power to the 380V distribution panels in the nuclear power plant's power supply system. Class 1E is defined as the safety class for electrical equipment, performing the following functions: reactor emergency shutdown, containment isolation, core emergency cooling, reactor residual heat removal, heat removal from the reactor building, and prevention of large-scale release of radioactive materials into the surrounding environment.
The Class 1E SG(H)B10 series dry-type distribution transformer for nuclear power plants, developed by Baoding Tianwei Shunda Transformer Co., Ltd., features high-quality copper conductors for the high-voltage winding with continuous structure winding; the low-voltage winding uses copper foil with a foil-type structure. The insulation system of this series of dry-type distribution transformers primarily uses Nomex insulation paper. The SG(H)B10-1000/6.3 Class 1E dry-type distribution transformer for nuclear power plants has undergone insulation thermal aging demonstration and passed relevant tests such as seismic and short-circuit tests. It has successfully passed the three tests for climate (C2), environment (E2), and fire resistance (F1).
The transformer is equipped with a metal protective enclosure with an IP30 protection rating. The enclosure has front and rear doors, allowing convenient access to the transformer from both directions. Enclosure dimensions: length 2000mm, width 1300mm, height 2200mm. The transformer enclosure is fixed to the body, making the body installation simple and convenient. The transformer does not include fans and uses natural cooling; it is equipped with a temperature controller that has strong anti-electromagnetic interference capability.

After evaluation by relevant provincial experts, the Class 1E SG(H)B10 series dry-type distribution transformer developed by our company is a non-encapsulated Class H dry-type distribution transformer with a safe structure, simple and reliable processes. The non-encapsulated structure dry-type transformer using polyamide (Nomex) paper is used for the first time as Class 1E equipment in nuclear power plants. Its overall technical performance reaches the advanced level of similar international products, filling the domestic gap.
