The cable is used in power transmission and distribution systems with rated voltages of 0.6/1, 1.8/3, 3.6/6, 6/6, 6/10, 8.7/10, 8.7/15, 12/20, 18/20, 18/30, 21/35, 26/35kV.

Cable Installation and Operating Conditions

Cable Installation

  • 1. Cable temperature during installation shall not be lower than 0°C. When ambient temperature is below 0°C, the cable should be preheated;

  • 2. Bending radius during installation shall not be less than 12 times the cable outer diameter;

  • 3. After installation, apply 4U0 DC voltage for 15 minutes for cables 3kV and below; apply phase-to-phase voltage U AC voltage for 15 minutes for cables 6kV and above.

Installation in Air

  • 1. When single-core cables are laid in parallel, center distance is 2 times cable diameter for 185mm2 and below, and 90mm for 240mm2 and above;

  • 2. Ambient temperature: 40°C;

  • 3. Maximum allowable conductor temperature: 90°C;

  • 4. Ampacity correction factor at different ambient temperatures:

Direct Burial Installation

  • 5. Burial depth: 0.7m;
