The shipboard medium-frequency variable-speed generator consists of a 50Hz three-phase asynchronous motor and a 400Hz, 2×20kW medium-frequency brushless generator with a common shaft and shared housing, along with an AC exciter. Its function is to convert the 380V, 50Hz three-phase AC power supplied by the host ship into two independent outputs of 200V, 400Hz three-phase AC power, serving as the main power supply and reference power supply for the weapon system.
