This locomotive is developed based on the four-axle new energy locomotive platform of CRRC Datong Co., Ltd., with a focus on addressing the needs of steel enterprises and industrial mines for pure electric locomotives.
Two units of this locomotive have been produced. One was officially put into operation in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia in May 2023, and the other was delivered to Dazhou, Sichuan in August 2023.
Currently, the two locomotives have accumulated operating mileages of 8,000 km and 12,000 km respectively.
