After compression, the argon-rich gas enters the adsorption tower of the PSA-Ar unit, which is in the adsorption state. Impurities such as H2O, CO2, and N2 in the argon gas are adsorbed by the adsorbent, while the unadsorbed argon flows out from the top of the tower as the product, yielding Ar with a purity of 99%–99.999%.
Technical Features
Low adsorption pressure and low energy consumption;
High purity of product argon;
High degree of automation, convenient startup and shutdown.
Unit Scale
100–5000 Nm³/h.
Applications
Purification of argon from gases rich in argon components.
