An adsorbent is a solid substance capable of effectively adsorbing certain specific components from gases or liquids. It features a large specific surface area, suitable pore structure and surface structure; strong adsorption capacity for adsorbates; generally does not undergo chemical reactions with adsorbates or media, and is easy to regenerate; and possesses good mechanical properties.
The success of gas adsorption separation depends to a great extent on the performance of the adsorbent.
