Product Introduction

Ionic liquid flue gas desulfurization technology is mainly used for the treatment and resource utilization of sulfur dioxide in flue gas and other industrial waste gases. The most important feature of ionic liquid desulfurization technology is that while removing sulfur dioxide from flue gas, it produces high-purity sulfur dioxide (≥99.5%) as a by-product, achieving resource utilization of sulfur pollutants. High-purity sulfur dioxide can serve as an excellent raw material for producing liquid sulfur dioxide, sulfuric acid, sulfur, and other chemical products. This technology achieves high efficiency, resource utilization, and economic viability in flue gas desulfurization units, in line with the national goals for circular economy development.

Ionic liquid desulfurization technology was pioneered and named by our company, and holds multiple patents; this technology passed appraisal in 1997; in 2010, it won the First Prize of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Technology and the First Prize of Sichuan Environmental Protection Science and Technology; in 2012, it won the First Prize of Sichuan Provincial Technology Progress.

The ionic liquid developed by our company has been tested by authoritative national departments and is non-toxic, harmless, non-flammable, and non-explosive, meeting environmental protection requirements.

Our company has extensive R&D experience, with engineering design experience for nearly forty ionic liquid desulfurization units, and sufficient technical strength to provide users with high-quality after-sales service.

Technical Features

• Ionic liquids generally have no vapor pressure, so they do not produce harmful gases that pollute the atmosphere during use, with low loss;

• The ionic liquid is recycled with no secondary pollutants;

• Sulfur dioxide removal rate ≥99.5%, and desulfurization efficiency can be flexibly adjusted.

• The recovered high-purity sulfur dioxide can be used to produce sulfuric acid, sulfur, or liquid sulfur dioxide, etc.;

• The process flow is simple, with a high degree of automation, capable of long-term stable operation, easy startup and shutdown, and low commissioning and maintenance costs;

• Complete independent intellectual property rights, and all equipment can be domestically manufactured;

• Wide adaptability, with stable operating costs when the sulfur content in flue gas ranges from 0.02% to 5%. When the sulfur content in flue gas is relatively high, this technology offers greater advantages in investment and operating costs;

• Low energy consumption, the regeneration tower has low steam requirements and can utilize low-grade waste heat from the plant.

Applicable Fields

This technology can be applied to various flue gases, such as:

Nonferrous metallurgical flue gas (various furnace kiln tail gas, ambient flue gas, sulfuric acid tail gas), boiler flue gas, Claus tail gas, catalytic regeneration flue gas.
