These se......A new generation of HG-72 grinding machines has been developed to achieve optimal grinding solutions on applications in the AEROSPACE, POWER GENERATION, EOLIC, PRINTING, MARITIME, ELECTRIC MOTORS, etc industries. These sectors have the highest demand for precision and reliability associated with large part sizes. This new development brings substantial improvements in the rigidity and stability of the machine together with an ergonomic orientated design and an uncluttered working area. The machine is equipped with a continuous rotary wheel head (B axis) driven by a torque motor controlled by a high precision rotary encoder (Danobat patent) two external wheels of 610 x 80 x 304, 8 mm and an internal grinding spindle driven by electro spindles. Depending on the process requirements, different type of wheels (CBN, diamond, corundum, etc.) can be used on the wheel head. This configuration results in the HG-72 being a very versatile and fully universal machine for external, face, internal and external taper grinding operations. In addition, the machine incorporates an absolute multi diameter measuring unit, Danobat MDM, with a measuring range from 10 to 300 mm and an axial positioning probe that permit automatic measurement of diameters, tapers, external lengths during and at the end of the grinding cycle produces a measuring report.
