At the Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026) held in Barcelona, Huawei officially launched the Agentic Core solution. This solution aims to address core challenges of the AI era such as surging traffic, diversified network demands, and new service monetization for operators. By building three major engines—Network Device Intelligence, Network Intelligence, and Service Intelligence—it drives agentic networks from concept to large-scale commercial application.
Network Device Intelligence: Building the Connectivity Foundation for the Physical AI Era
As AI agents become a key feature of next-generation AI phones, the subjects of network connectivity will expand from humans to physical AI entities, such as embodied robots and autonomous vehicles. Huawei predicts that the number of connected entities will grow tenfold in the future. To this end, Agentic Core introduces core capabilities like digital identity, agent registration and discovery, and A2A session management, building a low-latency, highly reliable network infrastructure to support the large-scale deployment of physical AI.
Network Intelligence: Evolving from Predefined Rules to Intent-Driven
With the proliferation of service AI agents, their demands for network experience will become more diverse. For example, an AI robot might require precise guarantees of 100 Mbit/s bandwidth and 20 ms latency. Agentic Core drives the evolution of networks from configuration based on predefined rules to intent-driven self-optimization. Network AI agents can understand the business needs of different organizations, dynamically allocate resources, and implement a closed-loop process for policy generation, configuration, and delivery, significantly improving network operational efficiency.
Service Intelligence: Empowering Operators to Expand New Value Beyond Connectivity
Compared to OTT providers, operators have unique advantages in offering inclusive intelligent services. Huawei supports operator business innovation through three key services: AISF will evolve from a single interaction entry point into a full-featured personal assistant, integrating communication, content, and services; communication experiences will evolve towards immersive interaction, breaking through traditional voice limitations; and the integration of computing and networking will continue to commercialize, providing sustainable computing power support for AI inference and content generation.
