China's Ministry of Transport Announces the Second Batch of National Standardization Pilot Project List (Smart Transportation Special)

Wedoany.com Report on Mar 4th, Recently, the website of China's Ministry of Transport released information, announcing the review results of the second batch of national standardization pilot projects (Smart Transportation Special).

The announcement shows that the Ministry of Transport and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly organized experts to review the application materials and are now announcing the proposed list of the second batch of national standardization pilot projects (Smart Transportation Special). This includes 8 pilot projects in the smart logistics direction, such as the Standardization Pilot for the Multi-Modal Transport Digital-Intelligent Platform in Sichuan Province, and 6 pilot projects in the smart travel direction, such as the Standardization Pilot for Expressway Network Operation Cybersecurity Assurance in Hebei Province. Additionally, there are 11 pilot projects in the new infrastructure direction, including the Standardization Pilot for Dataset Construction and Large Model Application in the Operation Management of the Daloushan Tunnel Cluster in Guizhou Province, the Standardization Pilot for Full-Process BIM Data Interconnection in Highway Engineering, the Standardization Pilot for Full Lifecycle Intelligent Construction, Maintenance, and Operation Integration of Expressways in Jiangxi Province, the Standardization Pilot for Expressway Drone Inspection and Patrol Infrastructure in Anhui Province, the Standardization Pilot for Digital-Intelligent Construction and Management of Expressways in Guangxi, the Standardization Pilot for Intelligent Monitoring and Early Warning of Geological Hazards on Highways in Xinjiang, and the Standardization Pilot for Intelligent Construction and Maintenance of High-Grade Highways in the Permafrost Region of Northeast China. In total, 25 pilot projects have entered the announcement list.

It is understood that in October 2024, the General Office of the Ministry of Transport and the General Office of the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for National Service Industry Standardization Pilot Projects (Smart Transportation Special)". According to the Implementation Plan, by 2025, a standardization pilot work mechanism featuring "inter-ministerial coordination, ministry-province linkage, government-enterprise cooperation, and vertical integration" will be established, with approximately 50 national service industry standardization pilot projects (Smart Transportation Special) approved (around 20 in 2024 and around 30 in 2025). By 2027, the smart transportation standard system will be further improved, and its supporting role in promoting the transformation and upgrading of transportation and leading innovation-driven development will become more significant. In the long term, the role of standardization pilots in disseminating standardization concepts and promoting standardization experience will be more prominent, providing strong standard support for promoting the development of new quality productive forces and accelerating the construction of a strong transportation and quality nation. In March 2025, the website of the Ministry of Transport released information announcing the review results of the first batch of national service industry standardization pilot projects (Smart Transportation Special).
