Wedoany.com Report on Mar 4th, Recently, Valmet has secured a new order from the Södra Cell Mörrum pulp mill in Sweden. The Valmet Fiberline Analyzer (formerly the Valmet Kappa Analyzer) is a multi-analyzer platform suitable for all critical fiberline measurements. A single analyzer can serve the entire fiberline, measuring kappa number, brightness, hexenuronic acid (HexA), lignin, fibers, and knots

Under this order, Valmet will deliver two Valmet Fiberline Analyzers to the Södra Cell Mörrum pulp mill to help the mill improve process stability and product quality. The analyzers will optimize the performance of the two fiberlines by providing highly accurate and reliable data, thereby enhancing the mill's online measurement capabilities.

The Valmet Fiberline Analyzer features a dual-cabinet structure and a dual-chamber measurement system, enabling stable, precise, and continuous fiberline monitoring. It supports reliable process control through high-frequency measurements. The analyzer provides real-time data on kappa number, brightness, and fiber and knot characteristics, helping Södra Cell Mörrum make timely process adjustments to meet specified product quality parameters. This advanced functionality not only improves operational efficiency and ensures consistent pulp quality but also enhances the long-term performance of the fiberlines.

This order has been included in Valmet's orders received for the fourth quarter of 2025, and the order value has not been disclosed. Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026. This delivery also continues the mill's long-standing tradition of using Valmet's industry-leading kappa analyzer technology, which is now being upgraded to its fourth generation at the mill. The cooperation between the two parties began over 30 years ago—in 1994, Valmet delivered the first kappa analyzer to the mill.

Södra Cell Mörrum is a specialized pulp mill within the Södra Group, operating two production lines that produce high-quality market pulp and dissolving pulp. The mill produces a variety of high-quality pulp grades based on sustainably managed Swedish forest resources and is known for its strong focus on safety, innovation, and reducing climate impact. Södra Cell Mörrum has an annual pulp production capacity of 470,000 tons (approximately 300,000 tons of which is high-quality softwood market pulp and 170,000 tons is dissolving pulp).
