Wedoany.com Report on Mar 10th, The Port of Huelva in Spain has completed the restoration project of the old Estihuelva building, with an investment exceeding 700,000 euros. The project aims to transform the space into port police offices and administrative areas, enhancing the building's internal functionality while preserving its external aesthetic style.

The old building restoration project began in the first quarter of 2025, executed by the company Ingeniería de Suelos y Explotación de Recursos, Insersa, and is now nearing completion. The renovated facility will serve as an auxiliary building for the Port of Huelva, creating a modern and easily accessible office environment.
The Estihuelva building features a two-story structure. The upper floor has a typical administrative layout with a spacious staircase; the lower floor, originally locker rooms, has undergone comprehensive renovation. The building employs a load-bearing wall structure, reinforced with brick masonry, featuring pilasters and reinforced concrete slabs in good condition. It has a flat roof accessible via a retractable staircase.
During the old building restoration process, the project focused on protecting and repairing the existing structure as much as possible, maintaining the external aesthetics to enhance overall value. The interior spaces have been updated into 21st-century offices to meet modern workplace needs.
Based on the premise of preserving the external aesthetics, the lower floor has a separate entrance designated for use as locker rooms for the port police. Simultaneously, the area reserved for the Huelva Port Authority on the lower floor has its own independent entrance, adaptable restrooms, a cleaning room, and an elevator lobby waiting area. The first floor is planned to house eight offices, storage areas, restrooms, equipment rooms, an archive room, and three training rooms.
