Wedoany.com Report on Mar 10th, The Northern Gyeonggi Region Headquarters of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 9th that it will invest 5.6 trillion won this year in residential area construction and related projects to help stabilize housing for the general public. This investment plan covers multiple areas including residential area groundbreaking, land compensation, development projects, and housing welfare.

According to the plan, 1.8 trillion won will be invested in commencing the construction of the Phase 3 New Town Goyang Changneung Residential Area and the Namyangju Wangsuk Residential Area. Land compensation is allocated 1.6 trillion won, development projects 1 trillion won, and housing welfare 1.2 trillion won. The planned apartment supply for this year is 8,479 units, involving multiple residential areas including Goyang Changneung, Namyangju Wangsuk, Jinjeob Area 2, Uijeongbu Beopjoseong Area, Friendship Area, Yangju Hoicheon Area, and Guri Garak Station District. The residential groundbreaking target is set at 17,000 units, accounting for 33% of LH's national groundbreaking target.

Last year, LH strengthened its role in housing supply through direct execution due to the government's real estate policies. The Northern Gyeonggi Headquarters established measures to simultaneously commence construction of both residential areas and housing units, focusing on the Wangsuk Residential Area to secure the year's groundbreaking volume. Furthermore, it will supply 1,700 units of urban purchase-lease housing and 2,900 units of jeonse (lump-sum deposit lease) housing to help young people and newlyweds stabilize their housing within residential areas. This series of measures aims to address regional housing demand and promote the steady implementation of residential area construction.
