Since the summer of 2025, the plant has been producing high-quality plastic bottles and caps, serving both local and international customers.
The new plant, located within the Filinvest Technology Park, covers an area of 4,800 square meters and integrates production, management, and logistics functions. ALPLA Group has been operating in the Philippines since 2014, initially producing as an internal partner within customer filling plants. With this new base plant, the company can now offer more comprehensive packaging solutions to clients in the beverage industry and other sectors.
At the inauguration ceremony, ALPLA's Chief Operating Officer Walter Ritzer stated, "This strategic investment in the Philippines strengthens our footprint in the Asia-Pacific region. With our expertise and technology, we look forward to becoming a key partner for both local and international customers." Approximately 80 guests, including Austrian Ambassador Johann Brieger, attended the event.
The plant utilizes various advanced technologies such as injection stretch blow molding, extrusion blow molding, and compression molding to produce a wide range of plastic containers and caps. Its clientele includes multinational FMCG companies, international beverage brands, and local manufacturers. Currently equipped with four production lines, the facility has reserved space for expansion, with the potential to increase to nine lines in the future.
ALPLA Group employs around 40 staff in Calamba, whose professional commitment is considered a key factor in the project's success. The plant renovation project commenced in early 2025, with the first equipment becoming operational in the summer of the same year. Christian Kotschy, Managing Director of ALPLA Philippines, noted, "Establishing the new plant was challenging, particularly in terms of technology application and talent recruitment. However, we have built a strong team and are well-prepared for future development."
