Germany's CHERRY's Logistics Officially Launches Operations, Expanding into International Air and Sea Freight

Headquartered in Hamburg, it has also set up a second operational site in Weiterstadt near Frankfurt. The company's business scope covers international air freight, sea freight, road transport, rail transport, warehousing and logistics, as well as customs clearance and compliance services. International transport operations are executed through a global network of partners.
CHERRY's Logistics is led by managing shareholders Tim-Oliver Kirschbaum, Sandra Bufe, and Marc-Henrik Schmitz. The group entity, CHERRY's Logistics Group GmbH, was registered in Hamburg on July 31 with a registered capital of €400,000. CHERRY's Logistics Hamburg GmbH, responsible for the specific logistics operations, was registered on August 10 with a registered capital of €25,000. Its business scope includes domestic and international transport organization and agency, warehousing, customs clearance, charter agency, quality control, logistics consulting, and the development of logistics-related IT solutions.
In its international freight business, the company's air freight services cover consolidation, direct transport, charter flights, dangerous goods, and temperature-controlled cargo. Sea freight services include FCL and LCL shipments, with door-to-door service options. European overland transport utilizes cross-border trucking, while rail services cover FCL and breakbulk transport as well as pre- and post-carriage to and from rail terminals. Additionally, the company offers warehousing, buffer stock management, bonded warehousing, and import/export and transit declaration services locally in Germany.
The company's current operational framework is based on two German hubs: Hamburg and Weiterstadt. Hamburg serves as the group headquarters and main freight forwarding center, while Weiterstadt, located near Frankfurt Airport's logistics cluster, is used for air freight and related customer services. CHERRY's Logistics has not disclosed the size of its own truck, aircraft, or vessel fleet. Its international transport operations primarily adopt a freight forwarding model, organized and executed through carriers and partner networks.
The company has also initiated the development of its proprietary knowledge and data platform, "CHERRY's Brain," designed to centrally record transport projects, operational processes, and business decision data. Tim-Oliver Kirschbaum was previously the founder and former CEO of Senator International. With CHERRY's Logistics now having completed its commercial registration and officially commencing business on September 1, the company has transitioned from the establishment phase into actual operations. To date, publicly available information has not disclosed its initial client base, annual freight volumes, warehousing space, or fleet size.
