Building upon the HorizonNOW strategy introduced in 2021, this agenda sets specific, measurable goals to be achieved by 2030, further integrating sustainability into the company's overall business framework.
Through the Formula 2030 program, Siegwerk recently updated its strategic agenda for the next five years, aiming to strengthen responsible practices across the entire value chain. HorizonNOW 2030 systematically embeds sustainability into procurement, operations, and product innovation, driving the company towards a more environmentally friendly direction.
Siegwerk CEO Nicolas Wiedmann stated: "Sustainability is a core component of how we create value, which enhances the competitiveness of our customers and partners. The HorizonNOW 2030 agenda focuses on three key areas and sets eight measurable goals for 2030. In sustainable procurement, targets include reducing high-risk suppliers by 95% (baseline 2024) and reducing Scope 3 emissions by 25% (baseline 2020). In sustainable operations, the company plans to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 60% (baseline 2020), reduce waste by 10% relative to production volume (baseline 2024), maintain a total recordable incident rate below 1.0, and increase the proportion of women in leadership positions to 30%. In sustainable products, goals include ensuring that 65% of sales products (by volume) support circular packaging, and establishing a data-based sustainable product assessment system covering circularity, carbon footprint, and product safety.
