en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 25th, The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently launched a nationwide public awareness campaign to promote the voluntary "Product of the USA" labeling standard, which took effect on January 1st.

At Tuesday's National Ag Day ceremony, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins stated that the guidelines aim to support transparency, consumer trust, and domestic producers. Rollins noted, "More countries want our beef, but this is also about fairness to consumers by clearing up any confusion about what 'Product of the USA' actually means." She emphasized that the voluntary "Product of the USA" label ensures producers who invest in the full U.S. supply chain can compete fairly.

Rollins added, "There are no shortcuts, no exceptions, and no confusion. No more foreign beef being misrepresented as a product of the USA. That ends today." She explained that the label is reserved for meat, poultry, and egg products derived from animals born, raised, harvested, and processed in the United States to provide clearer origin information.

U.S. Senator John Hoeven of North Dakota stated that the "Product of the USA" label brings confidence to consumers. Hoeven said, "They want to know that these animals are in the USA from start to finish because we do have high-quality beef." This initiative is seen as part of efforts to raise industry standards, aiming to enhance market fairness through the voluntary "Product of the USA" label.
