This initiative aims to enhance logistics services between France and North America, supporting the development of environmentally friendly shipping.
Customers can now utilize the Neoliner Origin to enjoy direct round-trip routes from Montoir-de-Bretagne, France, to Baltimore, USA, and Halifax, Canada. The vessel employs an innovative wind propulsion system that can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions during transoceanic voyages, with claimed reductions of 80% to 90%, providing a sustainable shipping solution.
The new service covers various cargo types, including dry bulk, oversized cargo, and refrigerated goods, to meet the transportation needs of different clients. The inaugural sailings have been scheduled: the first voyage from Baltimore, USA, is set for April 24, while the maiden voyage from Montoir-de-Bretagne, France, is planned for May 16.
CMA CGM stated that this collaboration is part of its strategy to advance green shipping, helping to reduce its carbon footprint and respond to the growing global demand for environmentally friendly logistics. This service is expected to promote the low-carbon transformation of transatlantic trade.
