Thailand's Precious Shipping Signs Bulk Carrier Charter of Up to 14 Months

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 1, Rossarin Naree, a 63,564 DWT Ultramax bulk carrier under Thailand's dry bulk shipowner Precious Shipping, commenced a long-term time charter contract with the Singapore business entity of Asyad Shipping. The charter period is 12 to 14 months, and the contract adopts a floating hire mechanism linked to the Baltic Exchange Supramax 63K Index.

Under the contract, the daily hire for Rossarin Naree is calculated at 108% of the 15-day weighted average of the BSI 63K Index. At the commencement of the contract, the corresponding daily hire was approximately USD 24,000, and the actual hire thereafter will vary with the relevant market index.

Rossarin Naree was built by Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. of China and was delivered to Precious Shipping on May 29, 2026. It is one of four Ultramax bulk carriers previously ordered by the company. The total contract value for the four vessels is approximately USD 133.46 million, and Rossarin Naree is the first of them to be delivered.

The time charter contract does not disclose the specific cargo types, routes, or loading and discharging port arrangements. During the charter period, Precious Shipping continues to bear shipownership and related owner's responsibilities, while the charterer is responsible for the vessel's commercial operation arrangements.
