en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ocean Network Express (ONE) launched a weekly container service connecting Alexandria, Egypt with Poland and Northern Europe from October 15 to 17, named the Poland Egypt Express (PEX). The service operates a southbound-only loop, departing from the Polish Baltic port city of Gdansk and sailing via Bremerhaven, Germany to Alexandria.

This expansion adds a second dedicated Northern European gateway for Egypt. Its existing Levant Express service already connects Tilbury, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven and Antwerp to Alexandria and Damietta on a weekly loop.

Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) has taken delivery of the "Energy North," the first of four 88,000 cubic meter (88k cbm) LPG and ammonia carriers ordered from South Korea's HD Hyundai Samho. Once the remaining three vessels are in place by 2027, Nakilat's LPG fleet will double to eight vessels.

The "Energy North" is the first of six vessels Nakilat ordered from Hyundai Samho in early 2024, an order comprising four LPG/ammonia carriers and two LNG carriers, with deliveries continuing through 2027. This order is part of a broader fleet expansion plan, and once all of its undelivered newbuildings are delivered, the company's fleet is expected to reach 112 vessels, including 27 conventional LNG carriers and 9 QC-Max vessels.
