Jointly constructed by Shanxi Zhongsheng Smart Power Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Zhixian New Energy Co., Ltd., the project has a total investment of 206 million yuan. It is planned with an installed capacity of 42.5MW, comprising a 32.5MW/130MWh lithium-ion battery section and a 10MW/0.083MWh supercapacitor section. The project aims to enhance new energy consumption capacity and power system stability.

Currently, the civil engineering work for the project has been completed, with 26 energy storage battery containers and 7 PCS step-up inverter integrated containers installed in place. The construction team is now focusing on advancing the installation of supercapacitor integrated containers and secondary equipment. Feng Yanshan, the project's equipment installation manager, stated: "The energy storage equipment and lightning rod equipment have been installed. Supercapacitor equipment and substation equipment are arriving successively, and work is being intensified. It is expected to be completed by the end of March and enter the commissioning phase." The participating construction parties are working backwards from the deadline, striving to meet progress milestones while ensuring safety and quality.

Once operational, this hybrid energy storage project will leverage the synergistic effects of lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, achieving long-duration energy storage and rapid response. It will contribute to optimizing the regional energy structure, promoting green and low-carbon development, and providing stable support for the power system in the Xiangyuan Economic Development Zone and beyond.
