en.Wedoany.com Reported - NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPCREL) has issued an EPC tender package to develop a 300 MW grid-connected solar project near Nokhra in Rajasthan. The tender documents are available free of charge, with the bid submission deadline set for June 22, 2026.
This tender follows the commissioning of the 245 MW Nokh solar project in Rajasthan by state-owned power utility NTPC in June 2025. Sarit Maheshwari, CEO of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), revealed during an investor conference call that the company plans to advance an expansion of its 1.5 GW solar project in Rajasthan. Maheshwari noted that the company has secured the required land and has signed implementation support agreements as well as other project-related cooperation agreements.
Maheshwari also stated that the company is seeking to finalize commercial power purchase arrangements with the Government of Rajasthan, with tenders and related activities already in place. He added that once the commercial agreements for power procurement are finalized, the project will be immediately initiated.
The scope of work encompasses everything from the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar photovoltaic power plant. Bidders are also responsible for supplying solar modules. As per requirements, bidders must complete foundation design and construction, and install tracker-based module mounting structures (MMS) for SPV panels, including fixing photovoltaic modules onto the MMS and completing module interconnection.
Bidders need to arrange their own construction power and water supply. The construction scope includes building pre-engineered inverter rooms (if applicable) equipped with power conditioning units related to low-voltage and high-voltage switchgear; for string inverters, pre-engineered high-voltage switchgear rooms are required. Bidders must lay and terminate high-voltage cables (including supply) from the block boundary to the 33 kV owner's main collector switchgear as per specifications. Additionally, they must supply and install a module cleaning system along with all its accessories, and construct internal roads, pathways, drainage systems, as well as any internal or temporary fencing, security booths, etc., based on the general layout plan and topography.
