Renewable Connections Bags 90MW BESS Consent

Wedoany.com Report-Feb 11, Solar and battery developer Renewable Connections has secured consent for the 90MW Summerway Drove battery energy storage system (BESS) in south-west England.

The consent for the project in Somerset, was confirmed by Somerset Council today.

The approval means Renewal Connections has passed the 1GW milestone of consented clean energy projects in the UK.

Michael Hughes, Managing Director at Renewable Connections, said: “We are delighted to have reached the momentous milestone of securing over 1GW of consented renewable energy projects.

“This achievement comes just five years since our company was established and is an exceptional and fitting way to celebrate this anniversary.
