en.Wedoany.com Reported - Asana unveiled an AI personal assistant called Asana Dash at its Work Innovation Summit in London. The tool tracks information from multiple data sources, including Asana, email, calendars, and team messaging apps, alerting users when work projects deviate from the norm and recommending next steps.

Arnab Bose, Chief Product Officer at Asana, described Asana Dash as an "AI chief of staff." He said the tool helps users stay on top of project progress by connecting unstructured signals with Asana's work structure. Bose noted that Asana Dash can access project information just like a user, flagging issues that could derail a project. With user consent, Dash can then take action, such as posting messages within Asana or instructing AI teammates to handle tasks.

Wayne Kurtzman, Research Vice President at International Data Corporation (IDC), pointed out that Asana is leveraging recent acquisitions and its Work Graph investments to provide employees with an executive assistant based on their work context. The Asana Dash personal assistant is powered by an expanded Asana Work Graph, a data model that previously focused on tasks, projects, portfolios, and goals, now incorporating new data sources such as employee calendars, meeting notes, and other documents and databases.

Also updated is the AI teammate feature, which allows multiple human colleagues to interact with collaborative AI agents. New integrations with third-party apps like Gmail, Slack, Outlook, Figma, and Canva have been added. Bose said that after acquiring AI workflow automation software provider StackAI for $75 million, Asana can more reliably scale AI agents across various business applications, building on Asana's "system of action" capabilities. StackAI specializes in building complex multi-step processes, and Asana plans to combine its agent builder with existing integrated specialized agents, enabling AI teammates or Dash to select downstream actions based on pre-approved workflow combinations when recommending optimal actions.

Bose stated that these updates help Asana create a platform that integrates agents, workflow automation, and AI assistance to improve work efficiency. He described it as a "human-agent operating system," emphasizing that many scenarios require coordination between humans and AI agents. Asana has not yet disclosed pricing and availability details for Asana Dash.
