en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 6, US artificial intelligence cloud service company CoreWeave reached a cooperation agreement with Indian data center developer AdaniConneX, planning to deploy 240 megawatts of artificial intelligence computing infrastructure at the Taloja data center campus in Navi Mumbai, India. The project involves three data center buildings of 80 megawatts each. CoreWeave will be the sole tenant of all three facilities and plans to deploy the NVIDIA Vera Rubin computing platform. The first phase of the facility is expected to be ready for use by mid-2028, with the remaining capacity to be brought into operation in phases.

The Navi Mumbai project is located at the Taloja campus operated by AdaniConneX. The building design is tailored for high-density artificial intelligence computing equipment, with plans to adopt direct-to-chip liquid cooling technology for GPU rooms and to build a non-evaporative chilled water system. The computer room cooling system will match the operating load of high-density computing equipment and support subsequent computing hardware upgrades. The project announcement has not yet specified the specific floors, building area, number of GPUs to be installed, or mechanical and electrical equipment procurement contracts for each building.

CoreWeave plans to deploy its next-generation artificial intelligence computing platform at the project, providing cloud services related to model training, inference, and agentic computing. The company will also establish a local office in India and hire employees to handle customer service and regional business operations. The first phase of the project will deliver part of the computing capacity first, with available resources gradually increasing thereafter based on the progress of facility construction and equipment deployment.

According to the campus cooperation arrangement announced by both parties, CoreWeave may also choose to add up to 240 megawatts of capacity beyond the existing plan in the future. If this expansion plan is implemented, the company's total planned capacity at the same campus could reach 480 megawatts. The additional capacity is currently an expansion option and is not included in the initial deployment scale that has been confirmed this time.

AdaniConneX is 50% owned by India's Adani Enterprises and 50% by US data center operator EdgeConneX. Under this cooperation, AdaniConneX will provide data center infrastructure, while CoreWeave will be responsible for the artificial intelligence cloud computing platform and related business deployment.
