The Wind Innovation Hub's first project is a £2 million (approximately €2.3 million) "Accelerating Innovation" programme, designed to support UK companies in developing technologies aligned with these priority areas. Participating companies will receive technical assistance, manufacturing and materials expertise, testing and validation support, commercial readiness guidance, and help with accessing investment. The hub aims to bridge the gap between research and commercial deployment, helping promising technologies reach industrial-scale application faster and strengthening the domestic supply chain.

The Wind Innovation Hub was created for this purpose. By combining market intelligence, roadmapping, and hands-on technical support, the Wind Innovation Hub will connect the right challenges with the right expertise and turn shared insights into coordinated action."
The hub will seek to identify technology priorities, address knowledge gaps, support demonstration projects, and help de-risk emerging technologies and manufacturing processes.
