en.Wedoany.com Reported - Po Valley Operations Pty Ltd (PVO) has submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment to the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE), applying to drill, develop, and bring into production four new wells in the Selva Malvezzi production license area in the Po Valley Basin, northern Italy.

The four proposed wells are located near the Podere Maiar 1 well, which has been in continuous production for three years with a daily output of approximately 80,000 cubic meters. Processing of 3D seismic data covering about 140 square kilometers is expected to be completed by July, followed immediately by data interpretation. The goal is to build a high-resolution 3D subsurface model to support the drilling plan upon MASE approval.

The project aims to develop the significant natural gas potential of the Selva Malvezzi license area. If successful, the produced gas will be connected to the existing SNAM national pipeline near the license area, supplying energy to the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.

PVO, a wholly owned subsidiary of Po Valley Energy Ltd., operates the Selva Malvezzi production license area and manages the block on behalf of partner Prospex Energy PLC (37% stake), with PVO holding a 63% stake.
