en.Wedoany.com Reported - Inventec Corporation has announced an investment of $450 million to expand its production base in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, a project expected to create over 6,000 new jobs. This expansion decision solidifies Chihuahua's position as one of Mexico's leading electronics manufacturing hubs.

Chihuahua Governor Maru Campos stated that the investment reflects the company's trust in the state, where legal certainty, employment stability, and the rule of law create favorable conditions for attracting new investments. She also noted that global companies like Inventec choosing to expand in the border region sends a clear signal that this area has the conditions to build for the future.
According to the expansion plan, Inventec will acquire a 36,000-square-meter facility in an industrial park and construct an additional 43,000 square meters of facilities within its Megasite campus. The company will also purchase a 30-hectare plot of land for future expansion and install 45 new production lines to enhance operational capacity and meet growing demand for technology infrastructure.
The governor pointed out that Chihuahua has maintained its leading position in Mexico's electronics industry for over 15 consecutive years and continues to rank among the top states for exports to the United States. The state's achievements in the electronics industry stem from collaboration between the production sector, educational institutions, and the workforce of Ciudad Juárez.
Arch Chen, Vice President of Global Manufacturing at Inventec, stated that thanks to the specialized technical talent available in Chihuahua, the company's operations in the state have become one of its strategic manufacturing platforms in Mexico. This expansion will strengthen Ciudad Juárez's role in global production related to artificial intelligence, data centers, and semiconductor technologies, areas facing growing international demand.
