en.Wedoany.com Reported - Dimension News, August 20 – Unitree Technology released a bionic 7-axis dexterous robotic arm featuring high-precision seven-axis bionic joints, priced from 9,900 RMB, with a self-weight of 5.5 kg. Unitree stated that through coordinated dual-arm collaboration, the system enables material sorting and assembly tasks; it is suitable for various research and educational scenarios, and can also explore service robot applications.

According to the official introduction, this robotic arm is model R1, featuring a 7-axis design, with a maximum payload of 2 kg, a maximum reach of 650 mm (with dexterous hand), and a repeat positioning accuracy of ~0.1 mm. The interface adopts XT30 + CAN485, the user control system is based on Ubuntu, supports force feedback and collision detection, and the control interface covers both position control and force control modes.

The robotic arm features a composite body of metal and high-strength engineering plastic, balancing lightweight design with structural rigidity, weighing only 5.5 kg, enabling desktop-level lightweight deployment. The seven-axis linkage design allows flexible maneuvering in confined spaces, with the end effector capable of precise multi-angle adjustments, making path planning more effortless under complex working conditions.

In terms of software and expandability, the robotic arm provides open programming interfaces and expansion interfaces, with control programs and control interfaces to be gradually open-sourced. The end effector can be quickly swapped with different actuators, supports dual-arm collaborative operation, and enables tasks such as material sorting and assembly.
