en.Wedoany.com Reported - TGS has obtained exclusive rights granted by the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam to conduct a multi-client 3D seismic survey project in the offshore area of Brunei.

According to the contract terms, TGS will be responsible for the acquisition, processing, and marketing of new 3D seismic data under a multi-client model.

TGS stated that this project will enable it to seek industry pre-funding to provide new seismic data, thereby improving the understanding of reservoir potential, reducing exploration prospect risks, and supporting investment decisions ahead of future licensing rounds.

The company noted that the project aims to align with the Petroleum Authority of Brunei's goals of attracting international investment and further developing the country's upstream oil and gas sector.

David Hajovsky, Executive Vice President of Multi-Client at TGS, expressed that the company is pleased to collaborate with the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam to launch a new multi-client 3D seismic survey project in Brunei. He added that this project will complement the company's existing multi-client business and provide a clear pathway for the exploration community to assess Brunei's potential. This contract award reflects TGS's ongoing commitment to supporting host governments and operators in opening up underexplored areas in the Asia-Pacific region.
