en.Wedoany.com Reported - Effective July 1, Corinna Brandt officially assumed the role of General Counsel for Mingyang Smart Energy in Europe. Just two months earlier, she had left the renowned Danish wind energy company Vestas.
Corinna Brandt joined Vestas in June 2020, progressing from Legal Counsel to Senior Specialist in Offshore Wind Transactions, then to Legal Director for Offshore Wind in Northern and Central Europe, and finally to Global Legal Director for Offshore Wind before her departure, overseeing customer contracts and project execution.
On LinkedIn, Corinna Brandt thanked Mingyang Smart Energy Europe CEO Horatio Evers and Co-President Chao (Angie) Zhang for the "fantastic opportunity," expressing her eagerness to continue contributing to the growth of renewable energy in Europe.
Horatio Evers joined Mingyang last year from German chemical giant BASF, tasked with expanding Mingyang's wind energy business in Europe. Prior to Corinna Brandt's appointment, Horatio Evers had already recruited several senior executives from Siemens Gamesa and Swedish developer Vattenfall.
This executive recruitment comes as Mingyang Smart Energy accelerates its European expansion. In May, Mingyang Smart Energy confirmed it was exploring multiple locations across Europe for new manufacturing bases. Previously, the company had planned to invest £1.5 billion in a full-chain wind power manufacturing base in Scotland, but the UK government did not provide support.
Vestas has not commented on this personnel change.
