en.Wedoany.com Reported - VodafoneThree (the entity formed by the merger of Vodafone and Three UK) has announced the adoption of Vyntelligence's Agentic Video Intelligence technology across its 4G and 5G mobile broadband networks, aiming to accelerate the deployment of thousands of new masts and reduce network construction costs through improved efficiency.

The operator plans to invest £11 billion over the next decade in UK 5G mobile infrastructure upgrades, with targets including: achieving 5G Standalone (5GSA) network coverage for over 99% of the UK population by 2030, and 99.96% by 2034; while also expanding Fixed Wireless Access (mobile home broadband) to 82% of households by 2030. Network deployment involves a large number of delivery partners and subcontractors working collaboratively. Traditional methods rely on detailed paper documentation and manual audits to confirm the transition of sites from construction to activation, which can easily lead to delays or require additional on-site re-inspections. By using Vyntelligence's Vyn application, field teams can record short work videos, and the system then reviews construction quality, identifies safety hazards, and confirms site readiness nearly in real-time. VodafoneThree stated that this process creates a more streamlined and consistent way to verify on-site activities and reduces the administrative burden on engineers.

Iain Milligan, Director of Network Development and Infrastructure at VodafoneThree, stated that close collaboration between delivery partners and frontline teams is crucial in large-scale network upgrades. By partnering with Vyntelligence, engineers can capture and share work results in a more streamlined manner, reducing manual, time-consuming processes and helping maintain consistent standards across different sites. Leveraging this technology can improve efficiency, enhance safety, and support engineers in advancing network deployment with greater speed and confidence. In theory, this could bring new mobile sites online weeks earlier than usual, and partners could also benefit from faster payments, though this naturally cannot overcome external delays from processes such as planning approvals. UK mobile and broadband operators such as Gigaclear and Cornerstone (CTIL) have previously adopted similar technologies.
