en.Wedoany.com Reported - The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) recently released a list of 250 transportation improvement projects that have continuously driven U.S. economic growth and enhanced quality of life over the past two and a half centuries. The association emphasized that strategic infrastructure investments can yield returns for decades.

These landmark projects range from colonial-era roads and canals to railways, bridges, ports and waterways, airports, rail and transit systems, and interstate highways, covering all 50 states and the District of Columbia, transforming the nascent nation of 13 colonies into a world superpower.

The list was developed based on feedback from a national survey of transportation design and construction firms, state transportation departments, state construction associations, university professors, and construction industry journalists. Selection criteria focused on the projects' significant impact on overall quality of life, including mobility, safety, and economic growth.

ARTBA will share this list with policymakers on Capitol Hill and in the executive branch to underscore the importance of sustained, robust federal transportation investment.
