en.Wedoany.com Reported - Cognizant has announced a strategic partnership with Domyn, a European leader in sovereign AI infrastructure for regulated industries, to bring sovereign AI capabilities to enterprises across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The collaboration will help organizations in highly regulated sectors deploy AI solutions that keep data within the customer's controlled environment, while supporting compliance with European regulatory frameworks.

Under the partnership, Domyn will provide the AI infrastructure layer, delivering large language models (LLMs) that can be deployed in customer environments, on-premises, or in private cloud configurations. Cognizant will serve as the application, integration, and domain execution layer, responsible for training and adapting Domyn's models into smaller, domain-specific models (SLMs), building agents and applications tailored to specific industry use cases, and managing the historical data pipeline construction, data cleansing, and model alignment required for enterprise deployment. The two companies will jointly execute a go-to-market strategy targeting organizations in the UK and Ireland, Germany-Austria-Switzerland (DACH), the Nordics, Southern Europe, and the Middle East.
For enterprise customers, this partnership unlocks fully integrated sovereign AI solutions. Organizations gain access to advanced AI models and infrastructure without sacrificing control over their data, while benefiting from Cognizant's proven capabilities in managing complex enterprise transformations, embedding human-in-the-loop compliance frameworks, and delivering measurable business outcomes at scale. According to Gartner analysis, geopolitics is a key driver behind the demand for sovereign AI solutions and services, negatively impacting global cloud providers offering AI services; in this context, local cloud providers offering AI services will increasingly become relevant competitors and expand their market share. Gartner predicts that by 2029, geopolitics will drive 50% of cloud AI workloads to shift to sovereign cloud AI deployment models, up from just 5% in 2025. Manoj Mehta, President of Cognizant EMEA, stated that sovereign AI represents one of the most significant growth opportunities in the EMEA region, and Cognizant is uniquely positioned to lead in this space; regulated organizations in Europe need AI to deliver transformative outcomes without compromising data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, or security. He believes that the partnership with Domyn combines world-class AI infrastructure with Cognizant's deep expertise in turning infrastructure into practical, industry-specific solutions, enabling enterprises to advance AI on their own terms and within their own borders. Uljan Sharka, CEO of Domyn, noted that with Cognizant's extensive industry relationships across EMEA, Domyn can scale its vision, giving the most demanding institutions the foundation to decisively advance AI and truly own the intelligence they build.
This partnership aligns with Cognizant's three-vector AI builder strategy—achieving hyper-productivity, industrializing AI, and enterprise agency—which encompasses over 60 AI patents, more than 1,500 industry-specific agents, and dedicated AI labs in San Francisco and Bangalore. It also marks a significant step in Domyn's mission to help regulated enterprises own, govern, and trust the intelligence driving their most critical workflows, with the initial phase of the collaboration focusing on customers in the EMEA region.
