Redington Gulf Signs AI Cooperation Agreement with Amazon Web Services for the Middle East and Africa

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 22, Redington Gulf, a technology distribution company headquartered in Dubai, UAE, announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) of the United States to distribute artificial intelligence and cloud computing solutions across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa markets. Redington Gulf will provide technology products, deployment services, and cloud platform solutions through its regional channel network and the AWS Partner Network, with a focus on enterprise AI applications, cloud infrastructure modernization, and sovereign cloud services.

Under the agreement, Redington Gulf will serve as an AWS regional distributor, working with AWS Partner Network members on market development, solution delivery, and customer technical services. The two parties will collaborate on enterprise cloud migration, AI application development, cloud environment modernization, and business system deployment, and will provide cloud software and AI solutions to channel partners through AWS Marketplace.

Redington Gulf recently obtained AWS AI Services Competency and Digital Sovereignty Services Competency certifications, bringing its total to six AWS competencies. The other four cover cloud migration and modernization consulting, SAP consulting, small and medium business services, and security consulting. The digital sovereignty services competency will be used to meet the needs of regional enterprise customers in data governance, cloud deployment, and system management.

Saudi Arabia is one of the key markets identified under this cooperation. Sayantan Dev, Chief Executive Officer of Redington's Software Solutions Group, said the two parties plan to develop agentic AI business in Saudi Arabia and other markets, and to expand channel partners' access to related products and solutions through AWS Marketplace.

Afaf Chekkar, Head of Strategic Partner Business for AWS in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, also identified Saudi Arabia and the Middle East as cooperation priorities. According to the arrangement between the two parties, follow-up work includes developing AI applications based on AWS services for local enterprises, expanding channel partner business, and providing cloud computing solutions.
