en.Wedoany.com Reported - DGL Group (Deutsche Getränke Logistik) is advancing a large-scale logistics center construction project, which has obtained an official building permit, aiming to ensure reliable supply for the next 20 years. The group's CEO, Markus Rütters, stated that the project site covers a total area of 111,247 square meters, with approximately 27,000 square meters of warehouse and office space to be built.

Located in Saxony, the project adopts a phased operational model, with plans to launch in autumn 2027 and achieve full completion by early 2028. Once completed, around 200 employees from various professional backgrounds will work here, benefiting from long-term career prospects. This logistics center will integrate full-case and empty-bottle logistics, serving customers within a radius of approximately 100 kilometers. Edeka NBST and Kaufland have already been confirmed as anchor tenants.

The new logistics center is being built according to sustainability standards, featuring the installation of a photovoltaic power generation system and energy storage equipment for self-generated electricity, a hybrid heating system combining heat pumps and gas, energy-efficient lighting, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Rütters believes that this new project creates a stable future solution for the entire region, consolidating capabilities at a highly modern site while providing employees with long-term job prospects.
