en.Wedoany.com Reported - Vietnam Goods Week officially opened on July 4 at the APITA supermarket in Taikoo Shing, Hong Kong. This event, jointly organized for the first time by the APITA and UNY supermarket chains (under Hong Kong's Unicorn Stores Group), aims to introduce high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products and food to more Hong Kong consumers.

At the event, Vietnamese Consul General in Hong Kong Le Duc Hanh stated that economic and trade relations between Vietnam and Hong Kong are developing increasingly pragmatically. In 2025, Hong Kong continues to be the fifth largest source of investment for Vietnam. Bilateral trade volume has grown by over 70%, with Vietnam's exports to Hong Kong increasing by more than 90%, making Vietnam the third largest export partner in this market, after Mainland China and the Taiwan region. Le Duc Hanh noted that Hong Kong consumers have shown attention and positive feedback towards Vietnamese products such as rice, coffee, durian, coconut water, and processed foods. Against the backdrop of Vietnam's agricultural and food processing industries advancing green and sustainable development, this event helps promote Vietnamese brands and introduce Vietnamese culture.

Vo Thi Thuy, Deputy Consul General and Head of the Trade Office of Vietnam in Hong Kong, introduced that Vietnam's annual food exports to Hong Kong exceed $400 million and continue to grow. Products such as aquatic products, fruits, dried rice noodles, pho, and snacks are highly favored by consumers, with many items frequently out of stock in supermarkets. This is also the first time APITA and UNY have jointly organized a large-scale promotional event specifically for Vietnamese food. The event runs from July 2 to July 15 at the APITA and UNY supermarket chains. In addition to product sales, it also introduces Vietnamese culture through conical hat dance performances, ao dai displays, and live cooking demonstrations of dishes such as shrimp and avocado spring rolls and Vietnamese pancakes. During the event, multiple promotions are offered for products directly imported from Vietnam.
