en.Wedoany.com Reported - Paraguay's agricultural product export volume in the first half of 2026 decreased by 23.6% year-on-year, with total export value also declining. However, improved international market prices and product diversification partially mitigated the impact. According to the National Service for Quality and Animal Health (Senacsa), from January to June 2026, Paraguay's livestock and agricultural product export sector generated $1.158 billion, down 11.28% from $1.305 billion in the same period of 2025. During the same period, total meat exports amounted to 267.1 kilograms.

Senacsa noted that despite the contraction in export volume, international quotations improved. Specifically, beef exports totaled 132.3 million kilograms, with an average Free on Board (FOB) price of $6.81 per kilogram. Poultry meat became one of the fastest-growing categories, with exports reaching 4,593,163 kilograms in 2026, valued at $7,000,907, compared to 2,646,157 kilograms and $4,177,599 in 2025—a volume increase of 73.58% and a value increase of 67.58%, reflecting the sector's expansion and increased integration into the international market. Lamb was included in official statistics for the first time, with exports of 11,478.81 kilograms and an FOB value of $58,830.72, marking its formal entry into the livestock export sector.

Regarding export destinations, Chile was the main recipient of beef, accounting for a 33% share; Iraq accounted for 39% of poultry exports; and Taiwan was the largest buyer of Paraguayan pork, with an 86% share.
