en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, the 2×660MW advanced coal-fired unit heating project Unit 2, constructed by PowerChina for Jinan Thermal Power in Shandong, completed a 168-hour full-load trial run, marking the project's full commissioning. Located in Changqing District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, the project adopts ultra-supercritical double reheat technology, with heating capacity and environmental indicators at a high level.
The Jinan Thermal Power Project is situated in Changqing District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, primarily involving the construction of two new 660MW ultra-supercritical double reheat coal-fired generating units and related supporting facilities.

For the first time in China, the project adopts the internationally advanced ultra-supercritical double reheat unit cylinder cutting and bypass heating scheme. It is the first unit in China to integrate three heating regulation systems on a 660MW double reheat unit, with a maximum heating capacity of 1460MW, far exceeding the heating output capacity of conventional units of the same capacity.

The project integrates industry-leading efficient clean coal combustion, deep energy saving and emission reduction, and intelligent management and control systems. For the first time in China, biomass burners are designed simultaneously, enabling biomass co-firing coupled power generation, promoting the development of coal power towards low-carbon and clean directions; supporting facilities include five-stage environmental protection facilities: low-nitrogen combustion, dust removal, denitrification, desulfurization, and wet electrostatic precipitator, achieving near-zero emissions and setting a new green and efficient benchmark for the industry.
After commissioning, the project can generate 5.28 billion kWh of electricity annually, with a maximum heating capacity of 1460MW, covering a centralized heating area of 40 million square meters in western Jinan. It will not only effectively improve the power supply structure of Jinan City and increase system peak-shaving capacity, but also significantly enhance the power supply quality in western Jinan, which is of great significance for strengthening the stability and reliability of Shandong Province's power grid and heat network.
