The Minister of State for National Guidance, Godfrey Alion Odria, accompanied the visit.
During the exchange, the Uganda Communications Commission presented its regulatory responsibilities and ongoing projects, covering areas such as telecommunications, broadcasting, postal services, data communications, and communication infrastructure. Justine Lumumba Kasule stated that the UCC plays a central role in the country's digital transformation agenda, noting that communication regulation not only concerns industry order but also directly impacts public services, digital infrastructure construction, and the improvement of information management systems. For Uganda, telecommunications network coverage, broadcasting management, data communication capabilities, and the modernization of postal services are all foundational elements for building a digital government and digital economy.
