en.Wedoany.com Reported - ZTE announced on Monday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MoraRepublic, an Indonesian telecommunications infrastructure and network provider, to jointly develop and expand Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services for residential and enterprise customers.

The MoU was signed during the Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2026 (MWC Shanghai 2026) held last month. The two parties will jointly develop FWA networks with broader coverage and higher efficiency, advance the evolution of FTTH networks, and enhance service quality through AI-driven network operations.
The two companies will also explore end-to-end AI-driven network architectures to support intelligent broadband operations, service assurance, network optimization, and broadband business development, along with other initiatives supporting future broadband growth.
MoraRepublic, formerly known as Moratelindo before completing its merger with MyRepublic Indonesia in late 2025, focuses on expanding internet access in urban areas and rapidly growing regions nationwide to promote broader digital inclusion as part of its post-merger strategy.
MoraRepublic also supports domestic network expansion by building international capacity through the Moratelindo International Cable System-3 (MIC-3). This submarine fiber optic cable connects Batam Island to Singapore and is constructed by Chinese submarine cable company HMN Tech.
MoraRepublic Chief Financial Officer Yopie Widjaja stated in a joint statement that as the company continues to integrate and strengthen the combined forces of Moratelindo and MyRepublic, the team is focused on building a more robust and efficient broadband foundation to sustainably meet the country's growing demand for high-quality connectivity. He noted that this collaboration enables the company to move beyond traditional network expansion toward smarter broadband development, thereby enhancing service reliability, optimizing network performance, and improving user experience at scale.
ZTE Indonesia President Director Liu Sen added that by combining MoraRepublic's infrastructure footprint and local execution capabilities, the two parties aim to improve broadband access and service quality for residential and enterprise customers, while supporting a pragmatic, scalable, and long-term sustainable deployment strategy.
