en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 6, embodied intelligence company Xingdong Jiyuan announced the completion of a new 1 billion yuan financing round. To date, the company has raised a total of 2.5 billion yuan within two months, with investors including national-level capital, top financial investors, and industrial capital, totaling over 20 institutions. Xingdong Jiyuan is the only embodied intelligence company directly held by Tsinghua University.

Xingdong Jiyuan was founded by Chen Jianyu, an assistant professor and doctoral supervisor at Tsinghua University's Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences. Since its inception, the company has established the underlying logic of AI Native and built a full-stack self-developed technology system encompassing "data-brain-motion control-dexterous hand-body." Its core product lines include the full-size bipedal humanoid robot Xingdong L7, the wheeled humanoid service robot Xingdong Q5, and the fully direct-drive five-fingered dexterous hand XHAND series. Shareholders of Xingdong Jiyuan include Alibaba, CDH Investments, Sequoia Capital, IDG Capital, SF Express, Samsung, Geely, and Haier.

In terms of technical approach, Xingdong Jiyuan is one of the earliest companies in China to propose and implement the "world model" route. The company uses the world model as a data simulator to generate training data and launched a world model-based VLA reinforcement learning framework earlier this year. Xingdong Jiyuan positions the "dexterous hand" as the core data collection entry point and pioneered the "fully direct-drive" dexterous hand route. Its "brain hand" XHAND 1 PRO focuses on high-performance data collection, while the "work hand" XHAND 1 emphasizes precise force control and large-scale deployment, with the latter already supplying to manufacturers such as Skild AI in the U.S. and Rainbow Robotics in South Korea.

Xingdong Jiyuan has built a three-tier gradient data source system: long-duration real-machine interaction data from real-world scenarios, over 1.5 million dexterous hand real-machine teleoperation data points, and large-scale human video data, covering more than 100 real-world scenarios and over 1,000 operational tasks.

In terms of commercialization, Xingdong Jiyuan adheres to a "B-end first, then C-end" path, achieving product-market fit (PMF) first in the logistics sector. Collaborating with clients such as SF Express and China Post, the company's robots have been deployed in batches across multiple logistics centers nationwide, operating 7×24 hours in some scenarios with a sorting speed of up to 1,200 items per hour. Additionally, in the 3C electronics and automotive manufacturing sectors, the company has partnered with Samsung, Lenovo, Haier, and Geely. The service robot Q5 has also been deployed in scenarios at Haier and Lenovo. Xingdong Jiyuan's dexterous hands and general-purpose body base have been shipped globally, serving nine of the world's top ten tech companies by market value, with partners including OpenAI, NVIDIA, Boston Dynamics, MIT, and Stanford University.
