en.Wedoany.com Reported - Nokia's Optical LAN products, including the Aurelis platform, are now available through German telecom distributor Allnet, offering an alternative to traditional copper-based LAN architectures. Allnet, headquartered in Germering, Germany, will promote the Aurelis Optical LAN, which utilizes a full-fiber infrastructure, through its distribution partnership with Nokia. This solution aims to provide enterprises with higher performance, reduced operational workload, and a long-term scalable network foundation.

Tjorben Teunissen, Director of the Network Business Unit at Allnet, hopes this move will enable partners to access an innovative solution that integrates lower cabling workload, long-term energy efficiency, reduced operational costs, and a future-proof fiber architecture. He emphasized that the collaboration with Nokia is a significant step in expanding its portfolio of future-oriented network infrastructure solutions. This technology is particularly suitable for hotels, office buildings, educational institutions, hospitals, as well as industrial and logistics sites, where the demand for high network capacity, high availability, and sustainability is continuously growing.
Eleftherios Papadopoulos, Managing Director of Nokia Germany, explained that in the era of artificial intelligence, enterprises face the challenge of managing rapidly growing data volumes while making their IT infrastructure more resilient, secure, and efficient. According to Nokia, the Aurelis Optical LAN can reduce cabling by up to 70% compared to traditional network infrastructures. Additionally, energy consumption can be lowered by approximately 40%, leading to reduced operational costs.
