en.Wedoany.com Reported - Sineng Electric has delivered centralized inverters with a total capacity of 154 MW to two utility-scale photovoltaic projects in Algeria. Located in desert-adjacent areas, the projects are in Béni Ounif, Béchar Province (52.8 MW) and Aïn Bayda, Ouargla Province (101.2 MW), and are key components of Algeria's National Renewable Energy Program, which targets 15 GW of installed capacity by 2035.

The end customer for the projects is SONELGAZ EnR, with development and construction carried out by local and regional EPC contractor Amimer Energie. The projects utilize advanced N-type TOPCon bifacial photovoltaic modules, combined with Sineng Electric's 8.8 MW medium-voltage turnkey stations (EP-8800-HB-UD/30) and 4.4 MW medium-voltage turnkey stations (EP-4400-HB-UD/30) to achieve optimized performance across the entire plant.
Sineng Electric's solar solutions are specifically designed to withstand harsh desert conditions. The products feature an IP65 protection rating, ensuring strong resistance to sand and dust. Advanced two-phase heat exchange and intelligent temperature control systems enable full-power operation at temperatures up to 51°C. The inverters are equipped with four MPPTs (Maximum Power Point Trackers) to maximize energy yield, while a higher DC/AC ratio helps reduce LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy). Integrated SVG (Static Var Generator) functionality, along with continuous low-voltage ride-through and high-voltage ride-through capabilities, ensures stable support under weak grid conditions.
Once operational, the two projects are expected to generate approximately 340 GWh of clean electricity annually, offsetting around 255,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year (equivalent to the environmental benefit of planting 25.5 million trees) and creating approximately 1,500 local jobs. This will play a key role in diversifying Algeria's national energy mix, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and accelerating the decarbonization of the power sector, while also contributing to the expansion of renewable energy in North Africa.
Sineng Electric is a global leading supplier of photovoltaic inverters, PCS (Power Conversion Systems), hydrogen production power supply systems, and power quality products.
