en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 6, the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference Xiong'an Digital Future Forum was held in Xiong'an New Area, Hebei Province. During the forum, Xiong'an New Area officially joined the Global Digital Economy City Alliance, entering the global collaborative network for digital economy development, and becoming the fifth member city in China after Beijing, Yangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao.

The Global Digital Economy City Alliance is an international network for urban digital economy cooperation. Member cities engage in exchanges around digital infrastructure, digital governance, smart cities, artificial intelligence applications, and cross-border digital cooperation. After joining, Xiong'an New Area will participate in digital economy cooperation among alliance cities, primarily through digital city construction, intelligent infrastructure, urban computing platforms, digital government, industrial digitalization, and AI scenario applications.

The forum also released the "AI + Manufacturing" Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Innovation Application Demonstration Zone Initiative. Jointly initiated by relevant departments of the three regions, the initiative focuses on connecting Beijing's AI research and development resources, Tianjin's advanced manufacturing base, and Hebei and Xiong'an's industrial capacity and application scenarios, promoting cross-regional collaboration in algorithm models, industrial software, intelligent equipment, industrial internet, and manufacturing scenarios.

"AI + Manufacturing" is not merely the digital transformation of a single enterprise, but a systematic application covering R&D design, production scheduling, quality inspection, equipment maintenance, supply chain management, and energy management. AI models can be deployed in factory visual inspection, predictive equipment maintenance, process parameter optimization, production line scheduling, robot collaboration, and digital twin simulation scenarios, while manufacturing enterprises provide real production line data, process flows, and verification environments. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative demonstration zone will subsequently advance efforts around data interfaces, model adaptation, computing power supply, industrial scenario openness, and application verification mechanisms.

The second initiative focuses on the integration of education, technology, and talent in the digital intelligence field. Xiong'an New Area, together with relocated universities from Beijing including Beijing Jiaotong University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing Forestry University, and China University of Geosciences (Beijing), jointly launched this initiative, centering on the transformation of university research achievements in Xiong'an, co-building research platforms, talent settlement, introduction of innovation teams, and collaboration in industry-academia-research-application.

After the relocated universities from Beijing enter Xiong'an, cooperation targets in the digital intelligence field will concentrate on areas such as artificial intelligence, intelligent transportation, smart energy, ecological monitoring, urban safety, geospatial information, intelligent construction, and digital city operations. Universities will be responsible for basic research, algorithm models, experimental platforms, and talent cultivation, while Xiong'an provides city-level application scenarios, industrial space, and demonstration project conditions. For research achievements to be implemented in urban construction and industrial scenarios, they must undergo technical verification, scenario adaptation, engineering development, data integration, and continuous operation and maintenance.

This forum formed a relatively clear digital economy collaboration structure: externally, Xiong'an New Area connects to the international city cooperation network through the Global Digital Economy City Alliance; internally, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region links AI technology with advanced manufacturing scenarios through the "AI + Manufacturing" demonstration zone initiative; locally, universities and the new area bind research achievements, talent teams, and urban application scenarios into the same innovation chain through the digital intelligence education, technology, and talent integration initiative.
