en.Wedoany.com Reported - Marimaca Copper Corp. has reported new drilling results from the Pampa Medina deposit, located approximately 28 kilometers east of the Marimaca Oxide Deposit (MOD) in the Antofagasta Region of Chile, with new intercepts expanding the high-grade sulfide core area.

The new drilling extends the high-grade bornite copper core area at Pampa Medina 300 meters to the south. Hole SPRD-07 extends the previously identified very high-grade bornite and chalcocite zone southward. This hole intercepted 20 meters grading 2.65% copper and 13.9 g/t silver from 564 meters depth, including 6 meters grading 6.11% copper and 24 g/t silver. The same hole intercepted 104 meters grading 1.01% copper and 4.7 g/t silver from 664 meters depth, including 40 meters grading 2.04% copper and 11.1 g/t silver.

According to the company, these results support the geological model for Pampa Medina, characterized by multiple manto-type mineralization horizons hosted in sedimentary and volcaniclastic sequences. Within the 40-meter higher-grade interval reported in SPRD-07, intervals of 14 meters grading 3.36% copper and 17.7 g/t silver, and 4 meters grading 6.54% copper and 38.5 g/t silver were identified. The hole also intercepted near-surface oxide mineralization, with 10 meters grading 0.31% copper and 2.8 g/t silver from 180 meters depth, located approximately 150 meters west of the historical Pampa oxide trace.

Hole SPRD-08B is the deepest hole drilled to date at Pampa Medina, with a total depth of 1,052 meters. For the first time, drilling intercepted mineralization within basement metasedimentary rocks, extending the exploration scope beyond previously defined host units. This hole recorded 660 meters grading 0.41% copper and 1.8 g/t silver from 386 meters depth, including multiple higher-grade mineralized horizons, comprising 98 meters grading 1.21% copper and 7.6 g/t silver, and a 16-meter interval grading 2.90% copper and 21.2 g/t silver. At depth, SPRD-08B intercepted 66 meters grading 0.70% copper from 802 meters depth, including 14 meters grading 1.05% and 6 meters grading 1.40% copper.

Hole SPRD-09, located 300 meters south of SPRD-07, continues to extend the mineralized sequence, although it intersected several barren dikes trending west-northwest. Results include 30 meters grading 1.26% copper and 2.6 g/t silver from 440 meters depth, including two 6-meter intervals grading 2.34% and 2.50% copper, respectively. Deeper, the hole recorded 32 meters grading 0.85% copper and 4.4 g/t silver, including 18 meters grading 1.11% copper and 7.4 g/t silver, with mineralization also reported below 900 meters.

Sergio Rivera, Vice President of Exploration at Marimaca Copper, stated that the expansion program continues to deliver high-grade copper and silver intercepts and supports the multi-manto mineralization model. Rivera emphasized that the extension of the bornite-chalcocite zone and the first intercept in basement metasedimentary rocks expand the geological unit range for exploration within the system. He also noted that the area drilled to date represents only a small portion of the broader Sierra de Medina land package. The company noted that reported intervals are downhole lengths, with true widths estimated to be approximately 80% of the reported intervals.
