en.Wedoany.com Reported - Azul has signed a contract with Petrobras to provide dedicated aviation services in northern Brazil for the next four years. Azul won the tender and will operate in partnership with its subsidiary Azul Conecta, which specializes in regional and business aviation.

The contract stipulates the operation of the Manaus to Porto Urucu route, handled by Azul, and the Porto Urucu to Carauari route, operated by Azul Conecta. This move expands the company's strategic operations in logistically challenging areas, particularly the Amazon region, where air transport is crucial for personnel mobility and industrial activity support.
Fabio Campos, Vice President of Institutional and Corporate Affairs at Azul, stated that the contract represents market confidence in Azul Conecta's operational capabilities, reinforcing its ability to execute complex, strategic, and long-term operations. The company is entering a new growth cycle focused on efficiency, innovation, and expansion across different segments of regional aviation.
Azul Conecta, established five years ago, is central to this strategy. The company has consolidated its position as the operator with the largest Cessna Grand Caravan fleet in Latin America, becoming one of Brazil's leading regional airlines, serving 44 destinations. Its operations are particularly vital in remote areas that often rely solely on air transport.
Azul Conecta has also expanded its involvement in institutional and technical initiatives. The company participates in a technical cooperation agreement signed between Azul and the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), aimed at improving the certification process for senior certification reviewers and promoting knowledge exchange and technical operational improvements among pilots. In 2025, the company signed contracts with the Federal Police, the Federal Highway Police, and the Military Police Aviation Battalion of Bahia to provide maintenance services for Cessna C208B Grand Caravan aircraft, strengthening its presence in specialized support and services.
With the new contract, Azul expands its dedicated operations, reinforcing the strategic role of regional aviation in Brazil, particularly in areas where air logistics is essential for connectivity and economic development.
